I found out that my brother listens to the radio at work which doesn't really surprise me that much because I already knew that he listens to the radio at work because he's told me before and I used to work where he works. Although, I am surprised that he knew the names of the channels he listens to.

E - Market Share:

What is the current trend in market share?
The market share for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire has dipped by a lot over the years.

What could be the reason for this trend?
Maybe because there have been other radio stations that have been growing in popularity and a lot of people have gone to listen to the other radios instead of Radio Cambridgeshire. Also it's possible that audience members have got bored of listening to the same radio over and over again and want to listen to something newer and more appealing to them.

What is the trend over the last 15 years in market share?
It's generally been decreasing.

What could be the reason for this trend?
As cruel as it sounds, maybe some of the older viewers have been passing away over the years as BBC Radio Cambridgeshire tends to have a lot of older listeners. Maybe as the newer generations are growing up, they might not be listening to Radio Cambridgeshire as it may not appeal to them as a younger audience would usually go for more up-to-date radios with newer and more popular music. Or maybe the newer generations might not even listen to any radio at all.

Explain what has happened to the industry between the highest and lowest point of weekly audience?
Between the highest and lowest point of weekly listeners, nothing much has happened or changed with the industry as the weekly audience has generally kept between 100,000 and 150,000 listeners so not much change has happened so far.
